The truth is that many of today’s fruits and vegetables have only a fraction of the nutritional concentration they had 50 years ago. This is due largely to the depletion of soil worldwide and changes in conventional farming practices.
Another significant health benefit of organic food is the absence of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Chemicals are mostly used to make commercially grown vegetables grow faster and ripen quicker. But no matter how hard you wash or how long you soak your produce; you will still be consuming at least some of these chemicals. Even an apple is said to have several different pesticides on it.
Additional important health benefits from using organics is that they are much less likely to come with harmful microorganisms that can cause serious illness.
As you see in the news, seemingly every month now, E.coli is a dangerous bacterium that makes people sick and has become a consistent threat to our well-being.
Pay attention to the ingredients lists on products you get at the supermarket. Most have very long lists of ingredients with names that are unpronounceable. To be truly healthy, we should limit the amounts of these ingredients we put in our bodies. These foods are stuffed with preservatives to extend shelf life and hence to increase profits — not our health!
Some of these chemical preservatives have been shown to cause a host of health conditions including obesity, cancer, Alzheimer’s disease and behavioral disorders.
So to sum it up, to lead a more improved, healthy life, it’s all about avoiding the harmful effects of processed foods and commercially grown foods.

Another benefit to Organic foods is that eating them usually allows you to more easily maintain your ideal weight. This is because organic foods are packed with nutrition and once your body’s nutritional needs are met you no longer feel hungry and can stop eating.
Your children need a healthy foundation for their bodies at a young age so that they can realize long term benefits as they grow up.
It has been proven that people eating organic foods feel better, have more energy and have a stronger immune system. Organic foods have a positive impact on the mental and emotional aspects of your life. Your moods and outlook will improve. Many studies show people became happier and more enthusiastic about their lives.
All in all it’s just a choice we make — common sense about what we eat and the foundation that we want to give our kids. Take a few minutes to analyze what you can do to change your eating habits. In the long run, eating organic will make life better for everyone.
